Tackle Blank Screen & Software Frozen Issues in XCS

Hi xToolers!
We have received feedback from several users experiencing lagging operations, and even software crashes with white screens after importing images into XCS. Therefore, we will introduce some effective solutions to optimize your workflow and enrich your creative experience.
First, there are two things to check for improving the overall software performance:
Ensure your XCS software is always up-to-date for the best performance.
Turn off the precise vector pathselection option.
Close other memory-intensive software while using XCS.
If the problem still exists, there are several ways to sort it out:
If the drawing is a collection of multiple elements, import it into Inkscape or Adobe Illustrator, select the parts you need to process, and export the SVG separately.
If you want to use the fill engraving (Engrave) process, consider converting the SVG to PNG format using Inkscape. The default resolution is 96 dpi, but you can increase it to 150 dpi or higher if necessary.
Reminder: after exporting to PNG, XCS will process the image as a bitmap, allowing only engraving and not scoring or cutting.
Method B
If you need to work with a complex vector graphic, import the file into Inkscape and select all paths and combine them at once, this will reduce memory consumption and thus the chance of software clash. (Note: use Path-Combine, instead of Group)
Method C
If the SVG is purchased or downloaded from a design website, try the following methods to compress the file size:
Compress using Inkscape. Import the image into Inkscape and export as a Plain SVG format. Inkscape will help clean up unnecessary data during this process.
Compress using Adobe Illustrator [Recommended! Better results]: XCS processing complex vector drawings white screen solution
Remember, do not export as "Inkscape SVG"; instead, export as Plain SVG.
Improve your computer's performance to handle more complex images.
Keep your laptop plugged in and disable power-saving mode to maximize software performance.
Upgrade your computer's hardware configuration to better handle complex images.
Recommended specs include:
64-bit Windows 10 or higher, or Mac OS 10.15 or higher
Follow these tips to minimize image processing lag and elevate your XCS experience. Don't let slow performance hold back your creativity – streamline your workflow and get back to making masterpieces!
