Processing images via XCS requires deep coordination between hardware and software, the Gcode files that xTool M1 can process have an upper limit of 200M. Therefore, when your file exceeds it, preview and processing functions will be disabled. We've got some tips to help you optimize your files and get back to creating impressive designs.

Tip 1: compress your image

First off, we recommend trying to compress your images. You can use tools like Google's online open source compression tool to help reduce file size without sacrificing quality. Trust us, it's a game-changer!

Tip 2: reduce the size of your image (width and height)

By decreasing the width and height, you can significantly decrease the Gcode size, making it easier to process and work with.

Tip 3: reduce the engraving lines per cm

If your file is still too big, try reducing the engraving lines per cm or processing your design in multiple passes. These techniques can help you break down your file into more manageable chunks and reduce the overall size.

Tip 4: process in multiple passes

By breaking your design down into sections and processing each section separately, you can reduce the overall size of your Gcode files and still create beautiful designs with xTool M1 and XCS software. Give it a try!
