How to Check If Your Mac Has an M-series Chip or Intel?

This information is needed before you download the latest XCS. Please see the instructions below:

 

Step 1

On your Mac, click the Apple icon in the top-left corner of the menu bar.

 

 

Step 2

Select the [About This Mac] option.

 

 

Step 3

And then, you can see the Processor/Chip on the pop-up window. See picture below.

 

  • If you see an Intel processor in the [Processor] section, it means you’re using a Mac with an Intel chip.

 

 

 

  • If you see Apple M1(or higher) in the [Chip] section, it means you’re using a Mac with an Apple Silicon CPU.

 

 

 

Step 4

You can find more specific information about your Mac by clicking [System Report...]

 

 

 

XCS V1.1 fixed the Apple chip compatibility issue, and we added an XCS download link exclusive for Apple chips (M1/ M2) on the official xTool >Software download page.



Please check the chip of your Mac before downloading XCS.

If your computer has an Intel chip, please click the second download link.

If your computer has an Apple chip (M1/M2), please click the third download link.
