First things first: if you're planning to pair up the Riser Base with the Honeycomb Panel, remove the baseplate.
To process on a flat object with a riser base and honeycomb, please select Open plane mode.
You can use the baseplate as a reference object:
Above the Baseplate: If your material's surface is above the baseplate, hit that Auto-measure button. It helps you nail the focal length.
Below the Baseplate: Now, if your material is below the baseplate, you've got a tad bit of manual measuring to do. Our M1 Manual Focusing Tutorial in Open Plane Mode is to guide you through.
If you want to process cylinders with a riser and honeycomb, select Laser cylindrical mode.
Reminder:
The Honeycomb Panel and the Blade Cut or Print & Blade Cut Mode are not compatible. Because the blade is a bit too sharp and might end up damaging the honeycomb. Let's avoid that.
There are 3 tiers on the Riser Base. Depending on your material's height or thickness, you need to pick and choose where the Honeycomb Panel sits.
A pro-tip: Aim for materials whose surface is a little above the baseplate.
Once you've got all this sorted, you are ready to start your editing.
