After connecting xTool X1 to the software, you can set up xTool X1 by referring to the following steps.
In the top-right corner of the software, click the settings icon.

Basic info
In the Basic info tab, you can view:
- Device name: shows the device name. You can enter the text box to change it.
- Processing model: displays the model being processed.
- Serial number: displays the serial number of your device.
- Firmware version: shows the firmware version. You can click Check for updates to update to the latest version if available.
- Automation model version: displays the automation model version. You can click Check for updates to update to the latest version if available.
- Capture & Trace model version: displays the capture & trace model version. You can click Check for updates to update to the latest version if available.
- Wi-Fi setting: displays the Wi-Fi address.
- Plug-in version: displays the plug-in version of your device. You can click Info to view details about it.

Calibration
In the Calibration tab, you can operate:
- Initialization calibration: guides you through the initialized calibration to eliminate potential errors and ensure first-use accuracy.
- Vibration suppresion calibration: detects device vibration and generates suppression parameters to fix engraving jitter and uneven edges.
- Dot laser full-range calibration: eliminates structural errors.
- Base leveling: measures the height across the work area and calibrates baseplate flatness.
- CO2 optical path alignment: adjusts the reflector lens angles so the laser travels along the center path, fixing optical path offset issues.
- Backpack optical path alignment: adjusts the reflector lens angles so the laser travels along the center path, fixing optical path offset issues.
- Focus calibration: determines the optimal focal distance through tests at different heights to fix blurry, overly thick, or overly thin lines.
- Glass engraving positioning calibration: compensates for potential offset to ensure accurate 3D engraving positioning.
- Camera calibration: builds the mapping between the camera view and the actual processing position to fix pattern offset and alignment issues.
- Flight galvanometer calibration: calibrates the mapping between galvo module scanning and actual coordinates to fix position offset or distortion during high-speed processing.

Device settings
In the Device settings tab, you can view:
- Auto close-up photography in auto mode: enables or disables auto mode during processing.
- Air nozzle presence detection: enables or disables detection for the air nozzle during the device is processing with the 55W CO2 laser module.
- Flame alarm: If enabled, the device pauses processing and raises the alarm when flame is detected. You can switch between high detection sensitivity and low detection sensitivity.
- Smart height compensation: automatically measures
- Buzzer reminders: enables or disables the buzzer of the machine. After being disabled, the buzzer no longer works as an indicator.
- Smart trial run check: If enabled, the device automatically checks for processing marks to prevent device damage from out-of-focus processing.
- Intelligent fill light integration: If enabled, the left and right fill light brightness can be automatically adjusted for multi-segment shooting, therefore improving image quality. If disabled, standard image capture applies.
- Near fill light brightness: If enabled, the close-up image can avoid overexposed circumstance or severe glare.
- High-precision ranging: If enabled, fine measurement in Process on flat surface mode helps to improve accuracy, at the cost of extra time.
- High frequency lens dirt detection: If enabled, this function helps to detect dirt on the lens or nozzle timely to prevent reduced laser powr or laser module damage. You can set Detection interval as needed.
- Low frequency lens dirt detection: If enabled, this function helps to detect dirt on the lens or nozzle timely to prevent reduced laser powr or laser module damage. You can set Detection interval as needed.
- Galvo heatsink dust removal: helps to shake off dust built in the heatsink in about 1 minute after a long relief task.
- Smoke exhaust time: sets the time the smoke exhaust processes takes.
- Smoke fan speed: sets the speed of smoke exhaust fan.
- Airflow of air pump: sets the airflow of the air pump for engraving or cutting tasks.
- Export elements on the canvas as G-code: exports all the elements on the canvas to a G-code file.

Working info
In the Working info tab, you can view:
- Work log: You can click Export to export the work log of the device.
- Working time: displays the total time the device processes materials.
- Operating times: displays the total number of times the device has been operated.
- Standby time: displays the total time the device is on standby.

Accessory information
In the Accessory information tab, you can operate:
- Accessory information: displays the accessory that connects to xTool X1.
- Solutions to Bluetooth accessory connection failures: Click View to see the connection solutions.
