Test Matrix Smart Analysis

Updated Sep 18,2026

In xTool Studio, you can machine a parameter test matrix yourself to find the most suitable processing parameters for a given material. In the past, once the test was done you could only compare the physical result cell by cell by eye and copy the parameters by hand — slow and error-prone.

Now, with a single photo, Studio can automatically recognize the power and speed for every cell in the matrix, restoring the physical matrix into a clickable digital matrix in the software — click any cell to read its parameters and apply them to your job or save them to the material library in one step. Line, fill, and cut processing modes are all supported.

Currently supported devices: M2, P3, P2S, P2, F2, F2 Ultra, F2 Ultra UV, F2 Ultra Single.

Supported version: Studio 1.9 and above.

Before You Start

You have generated and machined a parameter test board in Studio via "Material Test Array".

The device is connected to the internet, so the recognition service can be called.

Step 1 Configure the Material Test Array

In the Studio client, select the "Material Test Array" feature, choose the test pattern and parameter range, then run the job.

Step 2 After Machining — Open "AI Matrix Analysis"

Open "AI Matrix Analysis" and click [Take Photo]. The device camera automatically aims at the area where the test array was machined and takes the photo.

Step 3 View Results and Click Any Cell

Recognition results are shown by outlining each cell in the photo. Click any cell to highlight it and display its speed / power combination, so the physical effect and its parameters are clear at a glance.

The software automatically analyzes each cell’s result and gives recommendations across three dimensions, each with its parameters, AI confidence, and reasoning; recommended cells are highlighted in distinct colors on the photo.

Step 4 Save Parameters or Apply to the Current Material

After choosing a recommendation or any cell, click "Save" to store this set of parameters as a processing preset for the material (enter a material name; the matrix preview image is saved together with the parameters for future use). If a material was already applied before machining, the parameters are saved under that currently applied material.

Step 5 Later, Get Parameters in One Click from the "Parameter Matrix" View

For later jobs, select the material from the material library to apply the recommended settings in one click; or open the "Parameter Matrix" view and hover over / click any cell to read its speed and power and auto-fill them into the processing settings.
