Video tutorials
Cleaning the printheads
If the printheads are clogged, follow this video to clean them. Choose a cleaning mode based on the severity of the clog:
- Standard cleaning: Faster and uses less moisturizing liquid.
- Deep cleaning: More thorough, but takes longer and uses more moisturizing liquid.
Setting the printhead state
Precautions
- Power requirement: Keep the printer connected to power to ensure proper sleep/wake-up and automatic maintenance.
- Sleep/wake-up behavior: Sleep and wake-up operations are performed separately for each printhead and its corresponding ink path.
- Cleaning sequence: If nozzle unclogging maintenance is performed before or after sleep/wake-up, run deep cleaning, then standard cleaning, and finally print a nozzle check pattern.
Soaking the DT printhead
This video provides a solution specifically for DT printhead nozzle clogging and does not apply to the UV printhead.
Flushing the printheads
Precautions
- Do not mix up the DT and UV cleaning consumables. DT printhead cleaner is blue; UV cleaning liquid is moisturizing liquid.
- Switch the printhead to sleep mode before flushing through the moisturizing liquid tube with the ink extractor.
- Apply gentle, controlled pressure when flushing to prevent the cleaning liquid from splashing.
