Issue description
After printing, the inkjet module cover cannot be automatically reinstalled, and xTool software pops up an error message entitled "Inkjet Print Head Automatic Capping Exception" (Error Code 5028).

About the cover
The inkjet module cover works in the following way:
- Before processing: The cover should be installed on the inkjet cover.
- During processing: The cover is automatically removed for the printing task.
- After processing: The cover is automatically reinstalled for nozzle protection.
Possible causes
- Premature removal: The cover is removed before the printing task.
- Improper installation or deformation: The cover is improperly installed or deformed, preventing correct alignment with the inkjet module.
- Dust on magnetic surfaces: Dust has accumulated on the magnetic surfaces of the cover and the inkjet module.
- Foreign Material Obstruction: Foreign material, such as glue residue or paper scraps, is preventing proper magnetic attachment.
Troubleshooting procedure
Step 1: Check if the cover is properly installed before processing
- Turn off xTool M2.
- Check if the cover is properly installed before processing.

- If not, install the cover as instructed.
- If the cover is installed but loose, reinstall it to make sure it is securely attached.
3. Restart xTool M2 and start a printing task to check if the cover can be automatically installed after processing.
Step 2: Clean the inkjet module cover and the magnets
- Turn off xTool M2.
- Take out the inkjet module from xTool M2.
- Remove the cover and locate the magnets on both the cover and the inkjet module.

- Clean the magnets.
- Use a clean lint-free cloth or a cotton swab to gently wipe the metal area on the cover and the magnet surface on the inkjet module.
- If there're ink stains or stubborn stains, clean them with the cloth and swab mentioned above dipped with anhydrous alcohol, then wait until the surfaces are dry.
- Make sure both surfaces are free of dust, debris, ink residue, or glue.
- Bring the cover close to the magnet surface on the inkjet module to check if it can be attached properly. If yes, reinstall the inkjet module on xTool M2 and proceed to the next step.
Step 3: Restart the device and test again
- Restart xTool M2
- Start a printing task
- Check if the cover can be reinstalled automatically after processing.
Step 4: Continue the processing by manually removing the cover
If the automatic uncap function cannot be restored temporarily and you need to continue the processing immediately, you may:
- Manually remove the cover after the error message pops up.
- Click Confirm in the xTool software.
