Install xTool M2 CMYK Inkjet Module

  1. Ensure that xTool software is downloaded and that xTool M2 is connected.
  2. Install the inkjet module on xTool M2 according to its user guide.

Create or open a project

Calibrate xTool M2 CMYK Inkjet Module

  1. Before processing, calibrate the inkjet module as instructed in the xTool software. Click Start in the dialog box.

  1. Prepare the required items: A4 paper, masking tape or double-sided tape. If they're ready, click Materials are ready and Next.

  1. Clean the baseplate and click Cleaned. Then, close the lid and click Z-axis Calibration.

  1. After the z-axis calibration is finished, click Next.
  2. Secure the A4 paper at the center of the baseplate with the masking tape or double-sided tape.

Note:

  • Make sure the paper is applied smoothly.
  • Do not allow the paper to cover the four concentric circles on the baseplate.

Click Fixed and then Start Processing.

  1. Press the button of xTool M2 to start the calibration.

  1. After the inkjet module calibration, click Calibrate to start camera calibration.

  1. Click Finish to complete the whole calibration process.

Choose processing mode and material

  1. Place your material on the baseplate and close the lid of xTool M2.
  2. On the right panel, click the current processing mode, then choose Inkjet printing.

  1. Below the processing mode, click Unknown Material and select the material you use and click Apply. The material in the figure is for reference only.

Shoot the background and measure the distance

  1. Click the Refresh Background icon.

  1. Click the distance measuring icon, click the area you need to measure, and wait until the measurement is finished.

Design your pattern and set parameters

  1. On the left toolbar, click a target tool to create your design.

  1. Click the pattern and set parameters on the right panel, for example, the ink concentration.

Start processing

  1. Click Framing to preview the processing area.

  1. Click Process.

  1. Check the notes on the right panel. If everything is ready, begin the processing by clicking Start and pressing the button on xTool M2.
