Applicable scenarios

It is suitable for scenarios where xTool P3 needs to be transported, such as shipping for repair, moving, and especially remote transporting by vehicle.

Important notes

  1. Ensure the power is disconnected before proceeding.
  2. It is recommended that you take some packaging photos and photos of the logistics company when picking up the package, so that you can quickly solve the problem in case of special situations, such as lost parts and bad parts.

Tools required

  1. Masking tape
  2. Philips screwdriver
  3. 2.5 mm hex key
  4. Bucket (Capacity>2L)

Packing procedures

1. Adjust the lifting platform

Turn the knob to adjust the lifting platform to the lowest height, and then power off the device.

If the lifting platform cannot be adjusted by auto mode due to a malfunction, you can read the article How to Adjust the Lifting Platform Manually and adjust it manually.

2. Remove the connected accessories

  • Turn off the power switch and press the emergency stop switch.
  • Unplug the power cable, and remove the key and smoke exhaust pipe.
  • Disconnect SafetyPro™ IF2 2.0, Conveyor Feeder, Rotary Attachment 3 from xTool P3.
  • Remove the gas cylinder from xTool P3.

For the accessories not included in the standard packaging of the xTool P3, you can place them in their original packaging carton or other shipping cartons to prevent damage.

3. Drain the antifreeze

(1) Open the panel on the left side of xTool P3, and find the drain tube.

(2) Unplug the rubber plug of the drain tube, and point the drain pipe downward toward the bucket.

(3) Unplug the water tank cap.

· At this point, the antifreeze flows out naturally. This process will drain the majority of the antifreeze, though a small amount may remain inside the laser tube, water tank, and water pipes. However, this residual amount will have virtually no impact on the device's transportation.

· Disposed antifreeze should not be reused. High-concentration antifreeze (propylene glycol) is flammable. After draining, dilute it with tap water at least 10 times before disposing according to local wastewater regulations. If you used purified water, it can be disposed of as domestic wastewater.

(4) Plug the two rubber plugs back into the tube, and secure the drain tube.

(5) Put the panel back on the left side.

4. Secure the removable parts

(1) Secure the X-axis and Y-axis with the original thumb screws. If the thumb screws are missing, you may use some soft and secure materials, such as EPE foam or foam, to secure the axes and laser module, preventing them from moving during transport.

(2) Secure the baseplate. If the screws that secure the baseplate are missing. You may use other methods to secure, ensuring the baseplate will not slip away.

(3) Ensure the slats sit snugly into the slat slots.

(4) Check whether the laser mirrors, focus lens, window mirror, and magnetic cover of the laser module are secured. If not, please secure them.

(5) Put the screwdriver, screws, USB key, and so on into the toolbox, and then close the box securely. If the toolbox is missing, you can use a sealed bag to pack the parts.

5. Secure the detachable plate

If you have removed any other plates or components from the device, please reinstall and secure them.

(1) Secure the front magnetic panel and back magnetic panel with 13 screws.

(2) Secure the covers of the primary mirror and secondary mirror.

6. Place the packaging foam

Put the original packaging foam inside the device, and put the accessories into the slot of the foam.

7. Pack the device

Pack the device securely in its original packaging. If the original packaging is missing, you can use a fully enclosed carton of a similar size instead, and ensure there is protective foam around the device. Alternatively, you may contact xTool after-sales service for assistance.

8. Secure the device on the pallet

xTool P3 is classified as an oversized item and requires forklift handling. For logistics companies, this pallet is essential for pickup and transportation.

After packing, it is recommended that you place the device in an area that is easily accessible for a forklift or convenient for handling.

Center the device on the original pallet or a pallet of similar dimensions, and secure the carton to the pallet using tape or nylon zip ties.

If the pallet is missing, contact xTool after-sales service for assistance.
