After you connect IF2 2.0 to your laser machine and insert the Bluetooth dongle of IF2 2.0 into the extension port of the xTool laser machine, you can view IF2 2.0 information on the xTool software and manually set the airflow level.

Prerequisites

• You have downloaded and installed xTool software on your computer.
• You have connected your xTool laser machine to your computer properly.
• You have updated the firmware of your laser machine (xTool Studio > Device settings > Basic info > Check for updates). To use IF2 2.0, the following xTool laser machines must meet the firmware version requirements listed below.

Pair IF2 2.0 with your machine

IF2 2.0 can establish Bluetooth connection with the following machine models: xTool P3, P2S, S1, M1 Ultra, F1 Ultra, F2, and F2 Ultra series. Among them, you can connect IF2 2.0 with xTool P3, F2, and F2 Ultra series without using a Bluetooth dongle.

No Bluetooth dongle required

Step 1: Long press IF2 2.0's power button for at least 5 seconds until the Bluetooth status indicator blinks. At this time, IF2 2.0 enters pairing mode.

Step 2: Connect IF2 2.0 in the xTool software.

Choose Device settings > Accessory Information. Click Add in the upper-right corner. Then click Connect.

Bluetooth dongle required

Insert the Bluetooth dongle into the extension port of your laser machine. After that, IF2 2.0 automatically establishes a connection with your xTool machine. The machine's device settings page on the xTool software displays information about IF2 2.0.

(Optional) If a Bluetooth dongle has been connected to the machine already or you need to pair again, press and hold IF2 2.0's power button for at least five seconds to enable IF2 2.0 to enter pairing mode. Then connect IF2 2.0 in the xTool software. The software operations are the same as those for xTool P3.

Step 1: Create a project.

Step 2: On the right panel, select the IF2 2.0 you have connected. 

The Accessory Information page is displayed, showing details about IF2 2.0.

Operate IF2 2.0

Switch on and off

Switch on: Set Airflow adjustment to Auto or any level (except OFF) in Manual mode.

Switch to standby mode: Set Airflow adjustment to OFF in Manual mode.

Set airflow level

Auto: IF2 2.0 will adjust its airflow volume based on the material being processed. This function is applicable to xTool laser machines with Bluetooth functionality.

Manual: Set to a higher level when the smoke is heavy and to a lower level when the noise is loud.

Set purification time after processing

When IF2 2.0 works in Auto mode, you can specify Purification time after processing. The value range is 0-600s and the recommended value is 10 seconds. After the laser machine completes processing, IF2 2.0 will continue working for 10 seconds.

Enable cleaning reminder

When Cleaning reminder is enabled, the xTool software will notify you to clean IF2 2.0 after it has been running for a certain period of time.

Enable fan speed start optimization

When IF2 2.0 works in Auto mode, you can enable Fan speed start optimization. Once enabled, IF2 2.0 will start running before the xTool laser machine starts processing, which ensures smoke extraction effectiveness.

Remove IF2 2.0

Select Ignore on the Accessory Information page. After being ignored, IF2 2.0 will be removed from the Accessory Information page.
