1. Which xTool laser machines are compatible with AP2 Max?

xTool SafetyPro™ AP2 Max (hereinafter referred to as AP2 Max) is compatible with all existing xTool machines. This is achieved by using two types of exhaust pipe connectors and an airflow inlet connector:

2. What advantages does AP2 Max have over AP2?

  • Longer lifespan: Over 4× the service life of AP2 under the same working conditions.
  • Better filtration: Added formaldehyde-removal filter for more efficient purification.
  • Greater airflow: 4.67× the airflow of AP2.
  • Smarter lifespan tracking: Accurately calculates filter life based on machine type, material, and processing model.

3. Can AP2 Max be used together with an inline fan?

No. The airflow of AP2 Max and inline fan differs significantly. Using both together may cause blockages or false alarms.

4. Do I need to turn off my laser machine’s built-in fan when using AP2 Max?

No. AP2 Max works alongside the machine’s fan. Some models automatically adjust to the optimal airflow when linked with AP2 Max.

5. Does AP2 Max support venting purified air outdoors?

Yes. AP2 Max comes with an exhaust pipe and a pipe connector, allowing purified air to be vented directly outside.

6. Can I connect AP2 Max to my laser machine without a Bluetooth dongle?

Yes, but it depends on your machine. AP2 Max can estabilsh Bluetooth connection with xTool S1, F1 Ultra, M1 Ultra, P2S, F2 Ultra, and P3.

  • Requires Bluetooth dongle: S1, F1 Ultra, M1 Ultra, and P2S
  • No Bluetooth dongle required: F2 Ultra and P3

7. What cleaning agent should I use for the cyclone inside AP2 Max?

A kitchen degreaser is recommended, as it effectively removes oil buildup from the cyclone.

8. Why can't I connect two AP2 Max units—or an AP2 Max and an inline fan—simultaneously to a laser machine using two Bluetooth dongles?

Each laser machine can only connect to one Bluetooth dongle at a time. You can connect two AP2 Max units, or an AP2 Max and an inline fan, simultaneously to a laser machine using one Bluetooth dongle. For detailed steps, see Connect another Bluetooth accessory.

9. Why does AP2 Max keep running after my laser machine has stopped?

For better smoke removal, you can set a default delay in xTool software so that AP2 Max continues working after the laser machine stops. You can adjust this duration (0-600s) in the air purifier settings in the software.

10. What should I do if the Bluetooth connection keeps dropping?

Make sure that AP2 Max and the laser machine are placed at least 2 meters away from strong interference sources such as induction cookers or other high-radiation devices.

11. What should I do if the remote control won’t connect?

  1. Make sure both the purifier and remote control are powered on.
  2. Press and hold the Auto button on both the air purifier and remote control for over 5 seconds until the 2.4G indicator flashes.
  3. Place them close together to complete pairing automatically.

12. Are there any requirements for charging the remote control?

  • Always use the included charging cable. If lost, use a standard 5 V/2 A or 5 V/1 A cable.
  • Use a 5 V/2 A powr adapter. Never use fast charging adapters.

13. Why does the fifth formaldehyde filter have red dust on its surface?

The filter contains pellets soaked in potassium permanganate solution. The appearance of red powder on the surface due to vibration during transport is normal. This will not impact the filter's performance or service life, and it is safe for use.

14. Why can’t I install the NFC baseplate sometimes?

To ensure proper sealing, multiple foam layers are used inside AP2 Max. They may create extra spacing, making it harder to install the NFC baseplate. You can press gently on the back of the cyclone to fit the NFC baseplate securely. Once installed, the baseplate should remain stable without lateral movement.

15. How should I store the AP2 Max filters?

  • Store in a dry, ventilated environment at 5–60°C with humidity below 55%.
  • Storage period: up to 6 months. After that, filtration performance and lifespan may decline significantly.

16. Can AP2 Max be used with non-xTool laser machines?

Yes. AP2 Max supports maximum airflow of 700 m³/h and exhaust pipe diameters from 60–110 mm and 200–250 mm. You can use it with other machines as long as the machine’s exhaust pipe diameters and airflow requirements match.

17. What should I do if AP2 Max is too noisy?

To reduce noise without compromising air purifying performance, please update your xTool software to Studio v1.1 or a later version as soon as you receive it. This update improves noise control and optimizes the calculation method for the air purifier's lifespan.
