Updated Oct 20,2025
Updated Oct 20,2025

Issue description

  • When you use laser engraving or cutting, double lines appear next to the processing pattern.
  • When you use Fill in laser engraving, the ghosting effect may appear.

Possible causes

  1. Tilted optical path
  2. Severely oxydic or dirty laser mirror
  3. Severely oxydic or dirty laser lens
  4. Dirty air nozzle
  5. Faulty laser tube
  6. The laser module is not vertical enough

Troubleshooting procedures

1. Check the nozzle

Remove the nozzle from the laser module and perform a processing to check the nozzle.

  • If the issue occurs only during processing with the nozzle attached, the cause lies in the alignment of the air nozzle or the laser module. Please clean the inside of the nozzle first. If the issue persists, go to How to Adjust the Z-axis Verticality to adjust the verticality of the laser module.
  • If the issue occurs during processing without the nozzle attached, check for other reasons.

2. Check the laser lens

(1) Remove the air nozzle. Remove the screws on the laser lens, and take out the laser lens.

(2) Apply a piece of masking tape below the nozzle hole (as shown).

(3) Go to Device settings > Calibration > Optical path setup > Start.

Observe whether double spots only occur when the laser lens is installed.

  • If double spots only occur when the laser lens is installed, replace the laser lens.
  • If not, please check for other issues.

3. Check the laser mirrors

  • Check whether the laser mirrors are dirty. If yes, clean them as soon as possible.

Cleaning Method:

Tools Required:
  • Lint-Free Cloth
  • Anhydrous Ethanol
  1. Use a lint-free cloth.
  2. Dampen the cloth with anhydrous ethanol.
  3. Wipe gently to remove all contaminants.
  4. Ensure mirrors are completely dry before reassembly.
