1. Common Issues

1.1 After laser engraving, Mirror Acrylic may develop dark burn marks at the contact points between the acrylic and the metal baseplate.

1.2 The bitmap engraving effect on Mirror Acrylic is influenced by surface patterns, which reduce engraving detail.

1.3 During the processing of Mirror Acrylic, scratches and other surface marks may occur.

1.4 When laser processing the reverse coating of Mirror Acrylic, the coating may not be completely removed, leaving residue after processing.

1.5 After laser engraving Mirror Acrylic, internal cracking bubbles may appear, affecting the visual effect.

2. Solutions

2.1 Mirror Acrylic should be suspended during laser processing

When engraving Mirror Acrylic, it should be suspended to minimize direct contact with the metal baseplate. Wooden blocks of equal height can be placed under both sides of the Mirror Acrylic, preventing direct contact with the metal base. This avoids heat accumulation that can negatively impact engraving quality. If the laser hits the contact points between the acrylic and the metal, it may cause dark burn marks on the acrylic.

2.2 Place the stripes vertically when engraving bitmaps on Mirror Acrylic

When engraving Mirror Acrylic with bitmaps, it is recommended to position the surface stripes vertically within the processing area. This placement helps to better display detailed bitmap effects.

2.3 Avoid contact with hard objects after engraving Mirror Acrylic

After peeling off the protective film layer, Mirror Acrylic should be handled carefully to avoid contact with hard objects. This prevents scratches that can affect the visual appearance.

2.4 Adjust engraving parameters for Mirror Acrylic when processing coating and internal bubbles

Using the recommended engraving parameters for Mirror Acrylic ensures better results.

If the surface coating is not fully removed during engraving, slightly increase the power or line density to ensure complete removal.

Internal cracking bubbles occur when engraving power is too high. Reducing the power settings can prevent the formation of internal bubbles in the acrylic.
