1. Materials and Equipment

1.1 Sale of Materials

Black Floating Frame with Stand

Display items are sandwiched between two clear, flexible plastic films to create a 3D floating effect. Can be mounted with the included stand to create interesting displays for tabletop display.

2. Preparation before processing

2.1 Air-Compress Assist needs to be turned on

Enabling Air-Compress Assist can blow away smoke and keep the cutting path clear.

Enabling Air-Compress Assist can blow away dust and reduce the likelihood of false fire alarms.

Enabling Air-Compress Assist can reduce Laser Lens contamination and ensure processing data accuracy.

2.2 Protective equipment must be worn

Laser Safety Goggles must be worn. Please use Laser Safety Goggles corresponding to the laser wavelength to protect against injuries caused by laser reflection or diffusion.

Protective mask required;

When processing with an unsealed device, the processing area must be shielded to avoid exposed light. Do not remove the equipment’s protective cover while the light is on.

2.3 Set up the test environment

Before processing the leaves, it is necessary to distinguish the front side from the back; the front side is smooth, while the back side is relatively rough.

The leaves need to be placed on the Honeycomb Panel for processing to avoid direct contact with the metal base plate.

3. Common Issues and Solutions

3.1 Influence of Front and Back Processing of Leaf on the Effect

When placing leaves in the device's processing area, it is recommended to position the front, smooth side of the leaf facing down, and the back, rough side facing up. Directly processing the rough side with the laser can enhance the detail of the bitmap.

3.2 Leaf Bending Deformation

It is recommended to process the leaves as soon as possible after opening the sealed packaging to avoid the effects of humidity and dryness on the leaves. Prolonged exposure of the leaves to dry air will cause them to gradually curl.

When placing leaves in the equipment processing area, use magnetic metal clips or beige white masking tape to attach and secure all four edges of the leaves to the honeycomb panel, to prevent deformation of the leaves during laser engraving.

After processing, the leaves need to be sealed and preserved with a protective film or a Black Floating Frame with Stand to achieve the effect of isolating moisture.

3.3 Poor results during processing

When processing leaves in the equipment's machining area, a honeycomb panel should be used in conjunction. Using a honeycomb panel can prevent the leaves from coming into direct contact with the metal flat base plate, avoiding heat accumulation during processing, which could otherwise cause excessive temperatures and severe carbonization of the leaves.
