1.4 Use Accessories

Air-Compress Assist

Generate airflow to assist with laser processing.

2. Preparation Before Processing

2.1 Air pump assist needs to be turned on

When laser engraving, turning on the air pump assist can blow away smoke and carbon dust generated during the engraving process, keeping the cutting path clear.

When performing laser engraving, turning on the air pump assist can blow away dust and reduce the likelihood of accidentally triggering the flame alarm.

When laser engraving, turning on the air pump assist can reduce laser lens contamination and ensure the accuracy of the processing data.

2.2 Required Protective Equipment

Laser protective glasses: Please use laser protective glasses corresponding to the laser wavelength, and protect the glasses from damage caused by laser reflection or scattering.

Dust mask: A dust mask must be worn during the processing operation.

Protective Area: When processing with non-enclosed equipment, the processing area must have protective shielding to prevent laser leakage. Do not remove the protective cover of the equipment while the laser is operating.

3. Common Issues and Solutions

3.1 Material Fixation Issue During Cutting

When cutting, a Cutting Mat needs to be attached to the flat base plate in the equipment's processing area to secure the felt and prevent it from shifting during the cutting process.

When performing laser engraving, use a magnetic clasp or masking tape to secure the felt to the flat base plate to prevent the airflow generated by the Air-Compress Assist during processing from shifting the felt's position.

3.2 Poor Laser Engraving Effect on Felt

When carving felt, excessive laser power can cause the felt to be cut through. Even if the material is not penetrated, excessive laser power will still result in a noticeable black scorched effect.

When engraving a bitmap, if the effect is not obvious, you can replace the bitmap with a binary image before engraving.
