Engraving Mode is a parameter in xTool Studio that sets how bitmap and vector paths are engraved. It determines whether the laser will use Bi-directional or Uni-directional mode during the engraving process.
The Engraving Modes function applies to bitmap engraving and vector engraving for all models.
For large-area engraving tasks, the Bi-directional engraving mode reduces laser head idle time and increases engraving efficiency.
On some materials, Uni-directional engraving can protect the integrity of the material by reducing the thermal impact of the material.
Engraving mode can be divided into Bi-directional or Uni-directional mode.
For heat-sensitive materials, the Uni-directional engraving mode is recommended to minimize thermal effects.
Bi-directional engraving mode can increase efficiency, but in some cases may result in a slight reduction in engraving quality, which needs to be selected according to specific needs.
