About this video tutorial

This video tutorial aims to provide step-by-step instructions on how to replace the driver board of the x- and the y-axis guide rails for xTool MetalFab CNC Cutter. The procedure outlined in this section should be performed ONLY when the driver board has been diagnosed as malfunctioning by xTool technical experts and thereupon requires replacement.

⚠️ Important notes

Before or during the replacement, please:

• Power off the machine: Turn off the machine and unplug all the cables.
• Wear an anti-static wristband: Wear an anti-static wristband if there is any to prevent electrostatic damage to the driver board.
• Handle with care: Exercise caution when removing or installing the driver board and reseating cables—avoid excessive force.
• Label cables: Take photos of the cables before disconnecting them or label cables to ensure correct reconnection.
• Clean connectors: Check for dust or debris in the connectors and clean them before installation.

1. 2.5 mm hex screwdriver
2. A new driver board of the x- and the y-axis guide rails
