About this video tutorial

This video tutorial aims to provide step-by-step instructions on replacing the display screen for xTool MetalFab Laser Welder. The procedure outlined in this section should be performed ONLY when the display screen has been diagnosed as malfunctioning by xTool technical experts and thereupon requires replacement.

 

⚠️ Important notes
Power-off operation: When performing the replacement, please turn off the machine and unplug all the external cables.
Anti-static protection: It is recommended to wear anti-static wrist straps (if available) to prevent static electricity from damaging electronic components.
Handle with care: Avoid using excessive force during disassembly and assembly to prevent damage to the screen or connection cables.
Ensure clean interfaces: Before installation, check the cable ports to ensure that there is no dust or foreign matter remaining.


Tools required

To ensure a smooth replacement process, please prepare the following items:

  • Phillips screwdriver (3 mm) — to separate the display screen from the outer casing
  • Phillips screwdriver (5mm) — to separate the display screen from the frame
  • Tweezers — to remove glue from connectors
  • Pry bar — to remove the screen protector
  • New display screen
  • New screen protector
