Troubleshoot xTool S1 No Buzzing / Failed Buzzer

Issue description
You have enabled the "Buzzer reminders" option within xTool Creative Space (XCS) software, but your xTool S1 does not make a beeping sound during the following events:
- when the USB cable is connected to or disconnected from the laser device;
- when the machine is ready to start a processing task; or
- when the machine has finished a processing task.
Please refer to this section for troubleshooting.
Potential causes
- Buzzer Disabled in XCS: The feature is turned off in software settings.
- Firmware/Software Version Mismatch: Outdated XCS or S1 firmware.
- Motherboard Malfunction: Hardware failure of the buzzer circuit on the motherboard.
Troubleshooting
STEP1: Verify buzzer settings
- Open XCS and connect your xTool S1 via USB.
- Navigate to Device Settings by clicking on the gear icon (on the top-right corner).
- Under Basic Info tab, ensure Buzzer Reminders is toggled ON.
- Still no buzzing: If the issue persists, continue to the next step.
STEP2: Update XCS & firmware
- Check Software Version:
- Open XCS > Settings > About XCS to view the current version and check for updates.
- Check Firmware Version:
- In XCS, go to Device Settings > Basic Info > Firmware Version to check for firmware updates.

- Still no buzzing: If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.

STEP3: Replace the main control board
If the buzzer fails to function after completing Steps 1&2:
- Contact xTool Customer Service at support@xtool.com for further assistance.
- Submit the following for effective troubleshooting.
- Video Evidence: A video showing the buzzer’s non-response during USB connection/disconnection and processing events.
- Software & Firmware Versions: Include the XCS version (e.g., v2.5.1) and S1 firmware version.
- Buzzer Settings Screenshot: A screenshot showing the "Buzzer Reminders" toggle in XCS.
