This guide explains how to install custom fonts for use in xTool Creative Space (XCS) on both Windows and macOS operating systems. Adding custom fonts allows you to expand your design options within XCS.
⚠️ Important notes:
- xTool does not provide font files. You are responsible for obtaining font files from trusted sources.
- Hebrew Language Support: XCS does not currently support Hebrew fonts.
- Font Display Issues: Some fonts may not display properly in XCS, particularly if they lack support for certain language characters. If you select a font and see no change, the font may be incompatible.

Alternative Method:
C:\Windows\Fonts folder
. Optionally, you can add fonts by simply dragging font files from the extracted files folder into this folder. Windows will then automatically install them.💡 For more relevant resources on fonts installation onto Windows operating system, please visit your Windows manufacturer's official support website at: Microsoft
macOS supports a variety of font formats, including:
- TrueType (.ttf)
- Variable TrueType (.ttf)
- TrueType Collection (.ttc)
- OpenType and OpenType-SVG (.otf)
- OpenType Collection (.ttc)
Note: While legacy suitcase TrueType fonts and PostScript Type 1 LWFN fonts might work, they are not officially recommended.
⚠️ Important notes:
- When you install a font, Font Book automatically validates or checks the font you’re installing for errors. Font Book also checks for duplicate fonts.
- Fonts you install are available only to you, or to anyone who uses your computer, depending on the default location you set for installed fonts.
