Important Firmware Update for Safety Set

Compatibility
This update applies only to the Safety Set model MFS-K001-02A. Please check the product sticker on the bottom of the product to confirm if the model matches.
The Safety Set models MFS-K001 and MFS-K001-02B are not compatible with this firmware update. If updated incorrectly, they will be unable to detect flames. Please confirm the model carefully.
Update Notes
Safety Set automatically enters the monitoring state after powering on—no need to press the Status switching button.
After pressing the Status switching button to cancel an alarm, Safety Set automatically returns to the monitoring state after 15 seconds.
Preparations
- Safety Set model MFS-K001-02A
- A Type-C cable
- A computer
Update steps
1. Power on the Safety Set and disconnect it from the sensor hub.
2. Connect one end of the Type-C cable to the USB port of the Safety Set (see figure below) and the other end to your computer.
3. Connect your computer to Internet and ensure that XCS is updated to the latest version 2.4 or above.
4. In XCS, go to Settings > Developer Mode. In the Update the firmware anyway area, click Start.
5. Select the Accessory tab. Choose xTool Fire Safety Set for Board Type and select Serial port. Then select Latest Firmware. Carefully read the instructions and click Update if everything is correct.
6. Wait for the update success message, then unplug the Type-C cable.
7. Reconnect the Safety Set to the sensor hub. Check if the indicator light on the hub turns green.
Important Notice: If the first left indicator light flashes red while the other lights remain off, you may have mistakenly updated the firmware on a MFS-K001 model instead of MFS-K001-02A, causing a malfunction. In this case, please contact customer support to obtain and reinstall the original firmware.
