Tips & Tricks
Power and Speed Adjustments
When using Engrave mode, it's crucial to adjust the laser power and speed to match the material's properties and the desired depth of engraving. If the power is too high, the material may be burned or cut through, while too low power may result in shallow or incomplete engravings. The speed should be set to allow the laser to move quickly enough to prevent burning but slow enough to achieve the necessary depth.
Material Thickness Consideration
The thickness of the material plays a significant role in engraving. Thicker materials may require higher power to achieve the same depth as thinner ones. It's important to calibrate the laser settings based on the material's thickness to ensure that the engraving is neither too shallow nor too deep.
If you're using materials from xTool, leverage the xTool Material EasySet Library to find the most suitable parameters for your engraving job. This library can save you time and ensure that your engraving results are consistent and professional.
Safety Precautions
Always wear appropriate safety gear, such as laser safety glasses, when operating the engraver. Ensure that the work area is well-ventilated to avoid inhaling any potentially harmful fumes produced during the engraving process.
