Troubleshoot Rapidly Flashing Annular Indicator for S1

Overview

The indicator light on the front of S1 may flash rapidly in various colors, appearing chaotic or resembling a rainbow. This issue is different from the slow, rhythmic purple flashing that indicates a firmware update failure. Possible causes for this rapid, irregular flashing include:
  • A short circuit in an accessory cable,
  • a short circuit in the accessory interface board,
  • static electricity buildup on the main control board,
  • or a short circuit in the main control board or front interface board itself.

Troubleshooting Procedure

#1 Disconnect all accessories

  1. Turn off the machine and disconnect all accessories such as the Air Assist Set, Fire Safety Set, Rotary Attachment, or conveyor.
  2. Power the machine back on and observe if the problem persists.
  • If the problem resolves: The accessory cable is likely shorted. Contact xTool support to replace the cable.
  • If the issue continues: Proceed to the next step.


     

#2 Remove the rear interface plate

  1. Refer to this video guide to remove the rear interface plate located next to the mainboard.
  2. After removing the board, reinstall the mainboard and test the machine again.
  • If the issue resolves: The rear interface board is shorted. Contact xTool support for a replacement.
  • If the problem persists: Proceed to the next step.

     

#3 Discharge static electricity

  1. Turn off the machine and leave it powered down for at least 12 hours to allow static to dissipate.
  2. Restart the machine and check if the issue is resolved.
  • If the problem resolves: Monitor the machine to see if the issue reoccurs.
  • If the issue remains: Continue to the next step.
 

#4 Replace main control board and front interface board

  • If none of the previous steps resolve the issue, the main control board or front interface board may need replacement. Contact xTool support to request the replacement.
