Remove S1's Green/Orange Transparent Lid

Overview

This tutorial provides step-by-step instructions for safely removing the transparent lid of S1. This procedure is typically necessary for specific troubleshooting, post-sales situations, or when the lid has issues.
Applicable cases: This procedure should be followed when the lid is:
  • Damaged (e.g. cracked or broken);
  • Exhibiting air bubbles;
  • Attached with broken lid hinges.


Important safety & preparation notes

Power safety

Prior to beginning this procedure, ensure S1 is powered OFF and completely disconnected from its power source to prevent electrical shock.

Stable positioning

Place S1 on a solid, level surface to ensure stability while working.
 

Prequisites

  1. One (1) 2mm Phillips head screwdriver.

❗ No additional parts are required for this procedure. But please carefully retain all screws and the light shield strip that are removed, as they will be needed for reassembly. Do not discard anything.

 

How to do it

#1 Removing the light shield strip

  1. Identify the light shield strip (see image reference).
  2. Starting from the right side of the strip, carefully peel it off.
  3. Place the light shield strip aside. Do not discard it.


     

#2 Removing the lid securing screws

  1. Locate all the screws securing the transparent lid (you will see them once the strip is removed). 
  2. Use the 2mm Phillips head screwdriver to carefully remove all securing screws.
  3. Keep all the removed screws in a safe place. Do not discard them.
 

#3 Removing the transparent lid

Carefully lift and remove the transparent lid from the machine.
