Overview of AP2
xTool SafetyPro™ Air Purifier 2 (AP2) is designed to filter smoke and odors produced during laser processing through a multi-layer filtration system to effectively remove pollutants.
For an enhanced experience, xTool highly recommends operating your AP2 with xTool Creative Space (XCS) version 2.3.24.
💡 Tip: If you haven’t received the upgrade notification for XCS V2.3.24, download and install it from xTool official website.
Knack for airflow level settings
For xTool default materials:
If you are processing xTool materials with default processing parameters in xTool Creative Space (XCS), the "Auto" mode will automatically adjust to the optimal airflow level for the selected material.
For user-defined materials:
When you laser engraving/cutting third-party materials under the "User-defined material" parameter settings, the Auto mode provides a default airflow level suitable for most materials.
Meanwhile, you can adjust the airflow based on the smoke and odor with an additional consideration of the following two factors:
Odor and VOC Removal: Lower airflow levels are more effective at removing odors and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Steps to adjust the airflow level
Click on the Gear Icon: Click on the gear icon (refer to the image below) to access the device settings panel.
Locate "Airflow Level" Settings: In the "Accessory Information" tab, scroll down the list to locate the "Airflow level" settings.
Adjust the Airflow Level: Modify the "Airflow level" according to your processing needs.
Real-time monitoring of filter life
After connecting AP2 to your laser device in XCS, you may keep tabs on the filter's lifespan in real-time. This ensures timely maintenance and optimal performance.
