This guide walks you through the steps to troubleshoot the "Air pump current too low" error on your P2S device. It involves detailed checks and adjustments, and while many issues can be resolved by following these instructions, some cases might require additional steps.
Please be prepared to gather specific data for further diagnosis if needed. In complex cases, reaching out to support@xtool.com may be necessary for a more accurate solution.
Prerequisites
Computer with xTool Creative Space (XCS) installed
2.0mm hex screwdriver (included in the toolkit)
Toothpick or similar tool
Lint-free cloth
Multimeter (optional)
Preparations
Machine's Serial Number (SN) and Work Log: Please have your machine's serial number ready and export the Work Log and send it to the customer service team support@xtool.com for further analysis.
Steps to export the Work Log:
Click the gear icon after connecting your machine to XCS.
Navigate to Working Info and click Export in the Work Log section.
Refer to the Disassembly Guide: Before troubleshooting, you’ll need to remove the right upper cover of the machine. Follow the instructions in the disassembly guide.
Troubleshooting procedure
#1 Check the air pump and ensure the airflow system's continuity
Detach the air tube connector from the laser module by pressing it down. (see Image 1, arrow "1")
Use the 2.0mm hex screwdriver to remove the two screws (see Image 1, arrow "2"), and detach two connectors.

Clean the air tube connector with a toothpick and reattach it.
Disassemble the laser lens holder and air tube connector:
Use a 2.5mm hex screwdriver to remove the two screws (see Image 2, arrow "1").
Pull down the air tube connector (see Image 2, arrow "2") to remove the lens holder.

Clean the component:
Rotate the black retainer counterclockwise to remove the laser lens.
Place the detached components on a lint-free cloth.
Clean the laser lens holder outlet and air tube connector with a toothpick.
Inspect the spiral air tube for kinks or damage.
Note: Use plastic gloves to avoid damaging the lens. Ensure the convex side of the lens faces up during reassembly.
Reboot your P2S to check if the error message continues to pop up. If this does not settle the problem, proceed to the next step.
#2 Check for bends in the air tube inside the drag chain
Inspect the entire length of the air tube for bends, kinks, or damage. If there are any issues, replace the air tube to ensure proper airflow and prevent any operational problems.
For replacing the air tube in the drag chain, please refer to Replace the Cables of the Z-Axis Adapter Board of xTool P2 (while this video does not specifically cover air tube replacement, following the steps will help you learn how to remove and reinstall the air tube).
#3 Test air pump performance
Activate the air pump via commands: Connect the device to your computer and enter the following commands in a browser:
Screenshot the results send them to support@xtool.com with a brief description. If the air pump does not function or the value is too low, the air pump may need to be replaced.
#4 Inspect the UI board and voltage output
The UI board is inside the upper right cover. You can see it in the aforementioned dissembling video.
Check the UI board’s air pump socket: Detach the cable and examine the air pump socket (see Image 3, the arrow) for signs of burns or physical damage. If there are unusual signs, the UI board may need to be replaced.
Measure the terminal voltage (optional): Use a multimeter to check if the output from the air pump socket is 24V. If the voltage is not 24V, the UI board may need to be replaced.
