If you are experiencing difficulties connecting your Air Purifier 2 (AP2) to an xTool laser machine via Bluetooth dongle, please refer to this guide for troubleshooting assistance.
Possible causes
Incompatible Device Model: The laser engraving machine may not support Bluetooth connectivity.
Bluetooth Dongle Improper Installation: The dongle may not be securely connected.
Excessive Distance: The distance between devices exceeds the Bluetooth connection range.
Damaged Main Control Board Interface: The connection port on the main control board of your laser device may malfunction.
Troubleshooting
#1 Check compatibility
Ensure that your xTool laser engraver supports Bluetooth connection with the AP2. The compatible models include:
S1
F1 Ultra
M1 Ultra
P2S
Note that the P2 model cannot connect to the AP2 via Bluetooth dongle. Instead, please use the accessory under manual operation mode after disengaging the "AUTO" mode.
Manual Operation Mode: If your laser machine does not support Bluetooth dong connection, please disengage AP2's "AUTO" mode by tapping the "Airflow switch button" to operate the purifier manually. Adjust the airflow level according to your processing needs. For more information on selecting the optimal airflow level under manual operation, please refer to: How to Set the Optimal Airflow Level for AP2.
If this does not resolve the issue, proceed to the next troubleshooting step.
#2 Check Bluetooth dongle connection
Ensure that the Bluetooth dongle is properly inserted into the appropriate port on the laser device.
Inspect that you are using the correct port on your laser machine (refer to the images below).
Ensure that the dongle is firmly and fully seated in place.
If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.
F1 Ultra

M1 Ultra
P2S
#3 Check the distance
Ensure that the distance between your laser device (connected to the Bluetooth dongle) and Air Purifier 2 is less than 5 meters.
If it exceeds this distance, it may compromise Bluetooth communication. Move the purifier within 5 meters of the laser device.
To restore the Bluetooth connection, long-press the AP2's "Power button" for 5 seconds.
If none of these steps resolve the unexpected disconnection issue, the Bluetooth dongle may be malfunctioning. Please contact xTool Customer Service for further assistance.
#4 Cross test with a different port
Test a Different Port: If your laser engraver supports Bluetooth accessories and has multiple ports for Bluetooth functionality, try connecting the Bluetooth dongle to a different port to inspect if the issue persists.
Identify Port Issues: If the issue persists, this may indicate the original port on the laser machine breaks down. Please contact xTool Customer Service for further assistance.
If the problem remains unresolved after following the above steps, please contact xTool Customer Service at support@xtool.com. Include a detailed description of the issue and a list of the troubleshooting results you have already attempted for further assistance.
