Note:xTool F2 Ultra and P3 comes with a built-in Bluetooth dongle. When connecting to Bluetooth accessories, there is no need to insert an external dongle. F2 Ultra can connect the accessories directly via Device Settings>Accessories Information.
How to Connect your IF2 (IF2 2.0) Wirelessly with Your Machine
Prerequisites
- You have connected the xTool machine to your computer properly.
- You have upgraded the firmware of your laser machine (software > Device settings > Basic info > Check for updates).
Connection procedure
- For the first pairing connection, connecting the IF2(IF2 2.0)'s Bluetooth Dongle to the xTool laser machine's expansion port automatically makes the connection. Once the Bluetooth Dongle is connected, a connection is automatically established between the IF2(IF2 2.0) and the xTool Laser.


- Open software and create a project, the right panel displays the IF2(IF2 2.0) icon (green logo means connected), clicking on the icon will display the laser machine information page, click on the Accessories info to enter the accessory information page.

- If the software does not display the accessory information after plugging in the Bluetooth Dongle, please press and hold the accessory power button again to enter pairing, at this time make sure that the Bluetooth Dongle is plugged into the host computer.

How to Connect your AP2(AP2 Max) Wirelessly with Your Machine
Prerequisites
- You have connected the xTool machine to your computer properly.
- You have upgraded the firmware of your laser machine (software > Device settings > Basic info > Check for updates).
Connection procedure
- For the first pairing connection, connecting the AP2(AP2 Max)'s Bluetooth Dongle to the xTool laser machine's expansion port automatically makes the connection. Once the Bluetooth Dongle is connected, a connection is automatically established between the AP2(AP2 Max) and the xTool Laser.
- NOTE: There is no need to plug in a Bluetooth Dongle when using the AP2(AP2 Max) with the OS1 Shaker Oven, as the machine has a built-in Bluetooth chipset. Follow the instructions in How to connect multiple accessories via one Bluetooth Dongle to set up a wireless connection.


- Open software and create a project, the right panel displays the IF2(IF2 2.0) icon (green logo means connected), clicking on the icon will display the laser machine information page, click on the Accessories info to enter the accessory information page.

How to connect multiple accessories via one Bluetooth Dongle
- software supports connecting multiple Bluetooth accessories via Bluetooth Dongle. Let's assume that you have connected the IF2(IF2 2.0)/AP2(AP2 Max) to the software via a Bluetooth Dongle, if you wanna connect another accessory:
- Press and hold the accessory's power button for 5 seconds to enter the “Waiting to connect” mode, at this time the wireless connection indicator light is blinking. This method is applicable to all Bluetooth accessories that support wireless connection.


- Click Device settings on the right panel of the main page to enter the settings interface, click Accessory Information to enter the corresponding page, and click Add . During the connection process, make sure the target accessory is close to the machine.




Delete Accessories
- Click Ignore on the Accessory Information page. The accessory will be deleted from the Accessory Information page after it is ignored.
General Precautions
- Only one Bluetooth Dongle can be plugged into the main unit. Plugging in more than one Bluetooth Dongle is not supported, which will cause disconnection issues with accessories.
- One Bluetooth Dongle can support the connection of up to 6 accessories.
- Does not support the connection of two or more accessories of the same model, such as connecting two inline fans or two purifiers at the same time.
- The Bluetooth accessory is properly powered on.
- The Bluetooth accessory is within 5 meters of the main unit. Excessive distance may affect data communication.
- The Bluetooth accessory and the main unit should not be placed in an environment with high temperature, high humidity, or strong magnetic field, as these conditions may prevent normal communication.
Bluetooth connection failure solutions
Issue description
- If you are experiencing difficulties connecting your AP2(AP2 Max) or IF2(IF2 2.0) to an xTool laser machine via Bluetooth dongle, please refer to this guide for troubleshooting assistance.
Possible causes
- Incompatible device model: The laser engraver may not support Bluetooth connection with this accessory.
- Incorrect Bluetooth Dongle installation: The adapter may not be securely and correctly connected.
- Excessive distance: The distance between devices is outside the Bluetooth connection range.
- Damaged Bluetooth Dongle: The adapter itself may be faulty.
- Damaged main control board port: The connection port on the main control board of your laser device may be faulty.
Troubleshooting
1.Check compatibility
- To confirm that your xTool laser engraver supports Bluetooth connectivity with accessories, please consult Range of devices that support Bluetooth connectivity.
- Please note that P2/M1/F1/F1 Lite models cannot connect to the IF2(IF2 2.0)/AP2(AP2 Max) via a Bluetooth Dongle.
- Disengage AUTO Mode:
- If your laser machine does not support Bluetooth dongle connection, please disengage IF2(IF2 2.0)'s "AUTO" mode by tapping the "Airflow down" or "Airflow up" buttons to operate the fan manually.
- If your laser machine does not support Bluetooth dong connection, please disengage AP2(AP2 Max)'s "AUTO" mode by tapping the "Airflow switch button" to operate the purifier manually. Adjust the airflow level according to your processing needs. - If this does not resolve the issue, proceed to the next troubleshooting step.
2.Check Bluetooth dongle connection
- Ensure that the Bluetooth dongle is properly inserted into the appropriate port on the laser device.
- Inspect that you are using the correct port on your laser machine.
- Ensure that the dongle is firmly and fully seated in place.

- If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.
3.Check the distance
- Ensure that the distance between your laser device (connected to the Bluetooth dongle) and Air Purifier 2 is less than 5 meters.
- If it exceeds this distance, it may compromise Bluetooth communication. Move the purifier within 5 meters of the laser device.
- To restore the Bluetooth connection, long-press the accessory's "Power button" for 5 seconds.
- If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.
4.Cross test with a different port
- If your laser engraver supports Bluetooth accessories and has multiple ports for Bluetooth functionality, try connecting the Bluetooth dongle to a different port to inspect if the issue persists.
