This page describes how to install the frame fixing piece inside xTool M1 with the riser base.

Note: The frame fixing piece for xTool M1 works only for the small frame provided in the xTool Screen Printer basic kit (small frame).

1. Loosen the two screws on the right side of the machine using the screwdrivers provided.

(a) Use the longer and thinner screwdriver to loosen the outer screw a litter bit.

(b) Use the shorter and thicker screwdriver to loosen the inner screw a little bit.

2. Place the fixing piece with two notches on the α layer. Insert the tabs of the fixing piece into the shanks of two loosen screws and tighten the screws with the screwdrivers.

Make sure you get the right fixing piece and place it in the right direction.

3. On the left side of the machine, repeat steps 1 and 2 to place another fixing piece on the α layer.

Make sure you get the right fixing piece and place it in the right direction.

4. Flip the frame and screen over so the back side faces up.

5. Place the small frame on the fixing pieces, and fit it to the right fixing piece, with the tabs inserted into the notches.

Make sure you've correctly mounted a screen on the small frame.

6. Connect xTool M1 to xTool Creative Space (XCS) to engrave on the screen.

Note: In screen printing, the frame is placed with the front side facing up. You may need to rotate and reflect the design objects based on how you will place your material.
