After connecting M1 Ultra to xTool Creative Space (XCS), if you see a pop-up error message displaying "Y-axis homing failure (error code: M23 S141)" while the indicator light turns red and the buzzer sounds the alarm three times consecutively, this indicates a Y-axis reset failure. Please consult this guide for troubleshooting advice.
Why does it happen
The cable connection between the Y-axis motor and the main control board is loose.
The Y-axis motor may be malfunctioning.
The Y-axis movement along its guide rails may be obstructed.
How to fix it
#1 Replug the connection cable
Power off M1 Ultra.
Follow the video tutorial below to remove the main control board shield (on the video progress bar from 0:00 - 1:34).
Inspect the connectors on the Y-axis motor for any loose connections. If any, secure them properly.
Reboot M1 Ultra to check if the machine resumes proper operation.
If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.
#2 Replace the Y-axis motor
Power on M1 Ultra.
Gently try to push the processing module along the Y-axis to inspect:
If the module slides smoothly, it suggests the Y-axis motor is working properly. Proceed to the next step.
If it barely budges, it indicates a possible X-axis motor malfunction. Please replace the X-axis motor. Please contact xTool Customer Service at support@xtool.com for further assistance. Include a detailed description of the issue, your recipient information, and a list of the troubleshooting results you have already attempted to help us determine the appropriate course of action promptly.
#3 Clear the Y-axis guide rail
Power off M1 Ultra.
Manually move the processing module along the Y-axis guide rails back and forth.
Check for any obstructions along the Y-axis guide rails (refer to the images below) that might hinder the movement of the processing module.
If obstructions are found, follow the video tutorial below to disassemble M1 Ultra's casing and clear the obstructions from the Y-axis guide rail.
If the issue persists despite following the above steps, please contact xTool Customer Service at support@xtool.com. Include a detailed description of the issue and a list of the troubleshooting results you have already attempted for further assistance.
