After connecting M1 Ultra to xTool Creative Space (XCS), if you see a pop-up error message displaying "X-axis homing failure (error code: M23 S140)" while the indicator light turns red and the buzzer sounds the alarm three times consecutively, this indicates an X-axis reset failure. Please consult this guide for troubleshooting advice.
Why does it happen
The X-axis movement along its guide rail may be obstructed.
The X-axis motor may be malfunctioning.
The connection cable between the main control board and the X-axis motor is loose.
How to fix it
#1 Clear the X-axis guide rail
Check for any obstructions along the X-axis guide rail (refer to the image below) that might hinder the movement of the processing module.
If any, remove them from the guide rail.
If not, proceed to the next step.
#2 Replug the connection cable
Power off M1 Ultra.
Inspect the connection cable between the X-axis motor and the main control board for any signs of poor contact or damage.
If poor contact is found, reconnect the wires. Reboot the machine to check if it resumes working properly.
If the machine does not resume operation or the wires are obviously damaged, please contact xTool Customer Service at support@xtool.comfor further assistance, including a detailed description of the issue and a list of the troubleshooting results you have already attempted.
#3 Replace the X-axis motor
Power on M1 Ultra.
Gently try to push the processing module along the X-axis to inspect:
If the module slides smoothly, it suggests the X-axis motor is working properly. Proceed to the next step.
If it barely budges, even after reconnecting the cable between the X-axis motor and the main control board, it indicates a possible X-axis motor malfunction. Please contact xTool Customer Service at support@xtool.com for further assistance, including a detailed description of the issue, your recipient information, and a list of the troubleshooting results you have already attempted to help us determine the appropriate course of action promptly.
