Issue description
When using the automatic measurement feature, you may encounter one of the following scenarios, both indicating a measurement failure. Please follow the corresponding troubleshooting methods based on the specific error message.
Scenario 1:
XCS popped up an error message: "The material is too close to the processing module and the distance cannot be measured. Please move it farther from the processing module."
Possible Causes and Solutions:
Cause 1:
The distance sensor probe is stuck.
Solution:
- Remove the laser module.
- Manually press the probe to check if it rebounds smoothly.
- If the probe is stuck, clean it with a tissue moistened with a small amount of alcohol and see if the issue is resolved.
Cause 2:
Material exceeds the maximum processing thickness and touches the laser module.
Solution:
- Use a riser for processing.
- If the material thickness exceeds the maximum processing thickness with the riser, adjust or replace the material.
Scenario 2:
XCS popped up an error message: "The material is too far away from the processing module and the distance cannot be measured. Please raise it closer to the processing module."
Possible Cause and Solution:
Cause:
The distance between the material and the laser module exceeds the maximum measurable distance, preventing the distance sensor probe from making contact with the material surface.
Solution:
- Refer to the processing range guidelines on the right side of the riser.
- If the laser module in its lowest position still cannot touch the material, try raising the material or adjusting the height setting.
