Updated Jul 15,2024

Issue description

If you encounter that the processing module is not recognized in the machine’s "Device settings" within xTool Creative Space (XCS), please refer to this guide for troubleshooting.

Why does it happen

  1. The processing module is not properly connected.
  2. The processing module is malfunctioning.

How to fix it

#1 Reinstall the processing module

  1. Remove the processing module that is currently installed.
  2. Inspect both ends of the connector for any signs of dirt or being tainted. If you find any, clean them carefully.
  3. Reinstall the processing module into the machine, ensuring it is fully seated and making proper contact.
  4. Secure the processing module in place by fastening the locking clamp (refer to the image below).

  1. Click the refresh button in the "Device settings" interface to attempt recognition of the processing module once more.
  2. If this does not resolve the issue, proceed to the next step.

#2 Conduct a cross-test with another processing module

  1. Remove the processing module that is currently installed in your M1 Ultra.
  2. Install an alternate processing module from your M1 Ultra package.
  3. Click the refresh button in the settings interface to attempt recognition of the new processing module.
  4. Evaluate the results:
    1. If XCS recognizes the alternate processing module, this indicates that the original processing module may be malfunctioning.
    2. If XCS does not recognize the alternate processing module, this points to possible other hardware issues.
  1. If the issue persists despite following the above steps, please contact xTool Customer Service at support@xtool.com. Include a detailed description of the issue and a list of the troubleshooting results you have already attempted for further assistance.
