Issue description
If you encounter an issue where the material is not cut after being processed, it may be attributed to incorrect parameter settings, improper focus, or weakened power. Please consult this guide for troubleshooting advice.
Troubleshooting
#1 Adjust processing params
Check if you are processing different types of material with the correct laser type.
It is recommended to use a blue light laser for non-metal materials and an infrared (IR) laser for metal materials.
Ensure the power setting is appropriate and that the speed is set to the recommended value. If materials are not cut, try lowering the processing speed.
If this is not the case, proceed to the next step.
#2 Adjust the laser focus
Check if the material to be processed is focused properly.
If not, adjust it accordingly.
F1 will focus its laser on the surface of the material according to the thickness value. Hence, try either manually adjusting the focus slightly up or down by tapping its touchscreen controller, or tuning the thickness value in XCS by half or twice the material's thickness. For example, if the material thickness is 4mm, try entering 2mm or 6mm in XCS.
If this does not resolve the issue, move to the next step.
#3 Clean the field lens
Check for any dust or dirt accumulation on the field lens, as they tend to build up over time, leading to reduced power.
If any, clean the field lens thoroughly.
If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.
#4 Use the slatted panel
It is recommended to place materials on the slatted panel for processing to increase air exposure between the materials and the laser, ultimately enhancing efficiency.
