Are you an enthusiast of multi-color screen printing with your P2/P2S machine? If so, you might have encountered the frustrating challenge of positioning your screen accurately. In this guide, we present a DIY solution to this problem by crafting frame-fixing pieces tailored for your P2/P2S machine. By following these steps, you can ensure precise alignment and stable positioning for seamless overprinting results.
Tools needed
Software: xTool Creative Space
Hardware: P2/P2S
Material: Two sheets of 3mm Basswood Plywood (Preferably above A4 size) - Note: Theoretically, it is possible to adopt other types of material for extended use. The knack for a perfect DIY result is to ensure the material is 3mm thick; otherwise, it will be difficult to piece them together, due to the design of the project file.
Regularly inspect the frame fixing pieces for any wear or deformation, especially after repeated use.
Due to the basswood plywood character, limit the usage to approximately 30 times to prevent excessive wear and tear.
If the fixing effect deteriorates over time, consider recreating the frame fixing pieces to ensure optimal performance.
How to do it
# Step 1: Design & cut
Open xTool Creative Space and import the design file for the frame fixing pieces.
Set the parameters for laser cutting: - Processing type: Laser Cut - Power: 100% - Speed: 20mm/s
Proceed to cut the 3mm Basswood Plywood according to the design.
# Step 2: Assemble
Once the wooden pieces are cut out, assemble them according to the instructions below. For enhanced strength, consider stacking and gluing two pieces together.
Place the processed components pair in pair.
2. Assemble them in sequence.
3. Lastly, ensure that the assembly is stable and secure. There you go! Congrats🥳.
# Step 3: Fix the frame fixing pieces
Use fasteners to attach the frame-fixing pieces to the edges of the P2/P2S baseplate, aligning them with the fixed mesh frame.
Pay close attention to the orientation of the baseplate, ensuring it snugly fits into the baseplate groove for precise positioning.
Secure the fixing pieces firmly in place to minimize any movement during operation.
