Welcome to our comprehensive tutorial on using Artimind to generate low-relief images directly suitable for laser engraving. The low relief style allows you to create images with a subtle 3D effect without the need for complex software like C4D. This feature is ideal for engraving on softer materials such as wood, where depth and texture can enhance the aesthetic appeal.

We offer 4 methods for different purposes, select Laser Art, and click low relief style

Ideal Brightness for Low Relief

Optimal Brightness Levels:

Avoid overly dark images as they can result in engravings that are indistinguishable and muddled.

Aim for a brightness level where the main subject is clear and distinct from the background.

Choosing the Right Style

What Works:

Clear Main Subject: Ensure that the main subject of your image is clear, easily identified, and does not have excessive dark areas.

Examples:

What to Avoid:

Overly Dark Subjects: Images that the main subject is too dark are not suitable for low relief as they lose detail in the engraving process.

Adjusting Image Brightness

For Advanced Users:

Adobe Photoshop: Use the Camera Raw filter to adjust "Exposure," "Shadows," and "Blacks" to lighten an overly dark image, preventing burnt-out details in the engraving.

Crafting Effective Prompts

Basic Prompts:

Simple Description: Start with a basic description of an animal or object, such as "A wood carving of a cat" or “A wood carving of a tank.”

Advanced Prompts:

Adding Context and Action: Enhance your prompts by adding scenes and actions to create more vivid and story-rich engravings. Examples include:

"A wood carving of a deer with an intricately detailed antler crown, symbolizing the majesty of the forest."

"A wood carving of a horse in motion, its mane and tail flowing like the wind."

A wood carving of a bear standing tall in a forest clearing, its fur and the surrounding trees carved with incredible detail.

Creative Ideas:

Let your imagination run wild with prompts like "A wood carving of a lion strumming an electric guitar" or "A wood carving of a fox wearing a space suit on Mars."

Editing Images on the Canvas

Enhancing Clarity:

Adjust Sharpness: Depending on your preference and the specific needs of the image, increase sharpness using the XCS to make finer details more pronounced.

Adjusting Brightness:

If your image is too dark, adjust the grayscale bar to increase brightness.
