This article applies to:
D Series with all laser modules.
Issue description
During the Wi-Fi setup for the machine, if you don't see any available Wi-Fi networks in XCS upon refreshing, consult this article for troubleshooting.
#1 Check the Wi-Fi signal
Check if the Wi-Fi signal or the mobile hotspot signal is too weak for the machine's connection.
If so, switch to a Wi-Fi network or mobile hotspot with a strong signal.
If this is not the case, proceed to the next step.
#2 Check Wi-Fi frequency
Follow the instructions below to check if the Wi-Fi network is 5GHz frequency. Note: The instructions provided below demonstrate the process on the Win11 system. For Windows systems versions prior to 11, the procedures are similar.
Click the "Search" icon and enter "Settings"; then click "Open".
On the left panel, select "Network & internet".
Click “Wi-Fi”.
Click "Hardware properties".
Check the Wi-Fi network band to see if it's 5GHz.
If so, access the router's wireless settings to disable the 5GHz network. Note: As the Wi-Fi setup interfaces of different routers may vary, the image below is for reference purposes only.
Since the D series is not compatible with the 5GHz wireless network, it is advisable to connect the machine to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network only.
If this is not the case, move on to the next step.
#3 Check the mobile hotspot
For a mobile hotspot connection, follow the instructions below to troubleshoot the issue.
For Android users, tap "Mobile Hotspot" in settings to check if the hotspot operates on a 5GHz frequency band.
If so, select "2.4GHz preferred".
For iPhone users, tap to enable the "Maximize Compatibility" in the "Personal Hotspot" setting to ensure network frequency band compatibility.
