Issue description

When this issue happens, you should see a pop-up error message that says "Distance sensor exceptions" with the error code "M363 S2".

Troubleshooting

This error message pops up usually because the distance signal receiver on the laser module is not working properly. Please follow the steps below to troubleshoot.

#1 Measure the distance manually

If you still need to use the machine on a project regardless of the error message, you can manually measure the distance and set it in XCS. Please see this guide for details.

#2 Replace the laser module with a new one

The receiver cannot be replaced alone. In this case, please contact customer support for a replacement laser module or other further assistance.
