Our built-in fire alarm feature is an important safety measure, and it's heightened sensitivity is a critical safety feature intended to minimize fire risks. However, with great sensitivity comes the potential for false alarms. To ensure this feature functions accurately and efficiently, it's essential to be mindful of your usage environment. Let's dive into some practical tips to avoid these false triggers.
Exposing your machine to direct sunlight or rapidly changing ambient light can fool the alarm into sensing a fire risk.
Remember to operate your machine in an environment with consistent, soft lighting. Avoid placing it near windows where sunlight can directly hit it, especially during peak daylight hours. (Even if your machine has a shading cover, you still need to follow this advice.) If necessary, draw the curtains to maintain a stable lighting condition.
Our XCS software allows you to adjust the fire alarm sensitivity. Navigate to the machine card area and click on Setting
. Here, you'll find the Flame sensing sensitivity
option. Adjust this setting to 'low'. This won't eliminate false alarms, but it will reduce their frequency, allowing you to work with more confidence and less interruption.
While these tips are useful, they're not a substitute for careful operation. Always keep an eye on your machine while it's running. Safety should always be your top priority.
