Troubleshoot "Batch fill failed" for xTool P2
Updated Dec 25,2024
Updated Dec 25,2024

Issue Description

After you click on "Batch fill" in XCS, none of only some of the materials are filled with the element.

In the meantime, you may see a pop-up error message that says "Batch fill failed".

#1 Clean the Baseplate

  • Stains and residues on the baseplate can affect image recognition.
  • Clean the baseplate to create a clear background for the camera to work on.

#2 Change the Color of the Material

If the color of the material is too similar to the background, consider applying water-based paints in different colors to the material surface or choose a material with a different color.

#3 Clean the Camera

Inspect the camera for any stains, and clean it by gently wiping it with a cotton swab dipped in a small amount of ethyl alcohol.

#4 Use the Same Copies of Materials

  • Batch fill can only batch-process materials with identical specifications simultaneously.
  • For materials with different specifications, process them separately in batches.

#5 Increase the Fill Light Brightness

Go to "Setting" and adjust the fill light brightness in case the light is dark.

#6 Try Without the Honeycomb Panel

  • Batch fill recognition is more likely to fail when using a honeycomb panel.
  • Please try to proceed with the process on the baseplate.
