The flame sensor detects the wavelength of the flame.
The flame-temperature sensor detects both the wavelength and temperature.
They are installed in different locations inside the machine.
The four flame sensors are installed on the front and rear light tubes.
The one flame-temperature sensor is installed on the laser module.
To ensure the full functionality of flame detection, please pay attention to the following aspects:
XCS Software Compatibility
For XCS lower than version 1.6:
The fire alarm will be functional (Only the flame-temperature sensor on the laser module works).
The fire extinguisher WON'T be functional (If connected to the Fire Safety Set).
For XCS higher than version 1.6:
The fire alarm will be functional (All five sensors will work with a better detection performance).
The fire extinguisher function will be functional (If connected to the Fire Safety Set).
Fire Safety Set Compatibility
For better performance, it's recommended to get the Fire Safety Set 2.0 for xTool S1.
If you already owned the previous generation, you'll need an extra cable to work with S1.
Flame Detection Setting
You can adjust the sensitivity of the fire alarm or disable it in XCS. If you use the 2W IR laser module, the fire detection will be disabled by default (hidden in XCS). Because the wavelength of the IR laser (1064nm) falls within the flame detection range and can trigger false alarms.
Flame Alarm Level
Since the fire-extinguishing gas tank is a one-time consumable, two levels of alarm are defined to avoid the waste of the gas.
Level one: This is a fire where the gas will be used.
Level two: This is considered a minor flame.
