Currently, all S1 lasers only have one type of positioning light: the red cross.
To ensure that the laser module starts working at the target position, the framing process is needed before processing to determine the processing range.
However, we have found that the center of the red cross of the laser module may shift slightly when the laser module descends along the Z-axis before the framing process. In addition, the red cross and the processed pattern may not overlap if you do a framing after processing.
The red cross before the laser module is lowered
The red cross after the laser module is lowered
This is due to the structural design of the red cross output point of the laser module. The center point of the red cross will change when the laser module moves up and down along the Z axis, with an error value of 0.5mm.
To compensate for this error, the XCS software is designed to offset the distance automatically. As long as you make sure that you have selected the red cross positioning light before the laser module descends, then the actual processing start point will overlap with the center of the red cross.
