About This Guide

This article will guide you on how to connect S1 through Wi-Fi or IP.

Generally, you can use one of the three ways to connect S1 to your computer.

  • The USB connection
  • The Wi-Fi connection
  • The IP connection

You'll need to complete the USB connection first in order to set the other connection methods.

Please use the USB cable that comes from the machine for the USB connection. For Wi-Fi and IP connection, once configured, the cable will be no longer needed.

How to Do It

#1 Connect S1 with USB

A USB connection is required before connecting S1 through Wi-Fi or IP.

  1. Connect S1 and the computer with the USB cable.
  2. Click on "Connect device" to establish the connection.
  3. If XCS can't find the device, please refer to this guide for a solution.

#2 Configure Wi-Fi in XCS

  1. Click on the icon at the upper right corner of the device section as shown below.
  1. Go setting in Basic info.
  1. Input the name and Password of the Wi-Fi.
  • The computer and the device must be under the same network.
  • Make sure the name and password are correct.
  • Avoid using symbols such as "#!%&$".

  1. If the configuration is successful, you'll see the following message.

#3 Switch to Wi-Fi Connection

  1. Click on your S1 device icon on the right corner within XCS and click “Connect device” in the “Manage device” window.
  2. Choose "Wi-Fi", and find your device name and its IP address on the list below.
  3. Select your device on the list and connect. The connection status will change to "Wi-Fi".
  1. Go back to "Basic Info". If you find the IP address in "Wi-Fi Setting", the Wi-Fi connection is successful.

#4 Switch to IP Connection

Select "IP" and input the IP address you find in the previous step.

Note:
  • The computer and the device must be under the same network.
  • The IP address can also be found in the Wi-Fi Devices list and your router's DHCP list.
  • The IP address may change over time if you enable your router's dynamic address function. You may need to enter the new IP address after a while of use.
