The Laser Won't Cut Through or Engrave Transparent Material

    Issue Description

    Sometimes you may find that transparent materials, such as acrylic and PVC, cannot be cut through in laser cutting mode. This could also happen in engraving mode.

    Cause

    The blue laser wavelength of xTool M1 is 450mm, which is hard for transparent material to absorb.

    Solution

    Transparent materials are suggested to be processed in engraving mode solely. If you want to process transparent materials, please follow the next steps:
    1. Coat the transparent material with a layer of black water-soluble paint or a piece of laser paper before processing.
    2. Wash off the paint or the laser paper after processing.
