Issue Description

Error Code 'Qx08 0': Water Pump Exception

Qx08 0 error code indicates that the water pump is abnormal. If you see a pop-up notification with this error code, please refer to the steps below to troubleshoot the issue.

#1 Check the Firmware Version

Connect the machine to the software.
The computer should be connected to the Internet.
Check if the firmware is up-to-date as shown in the picture below.
If the issue persists after updating, please move on to the next step.

#2 Check the Inner Tube of the Laser Tube

Turn off the machine.
Remove the 8 screws from the laser tube cover, and then remove the laser tube cover.
Push the entire X-axis components back and forth, and see if there is any significant shaking of the liquid inside the laser tube (as shown in this video).
If yes, it indicates that the laser tube needs to be replaced.
If not, please move on to the next step.

#3 Check the Water Pump

Connect the machine.
Press Ctrl+F1 on the keyboard simultaneously to enter the debugging interface below.
Command+F1 for Mac, add the Fn key if it does not work.

Click 'Water Pump On' and 'Water Pump Off', and observe whether it can properly respond to instructions.
Normally, you can hear the sound of water flowing on the left side of the rear machine with 'Water Pump On'.
The sound will immediately disappear with 'Water Pump Off'.
Refer to this video.
  • If the sound is particularly sharp, remove the left side of the machine.
Refer to this video to pressurize the water tank, and then restart the machine.
 
  • If the left side of the machine doesn't make any sound after clicking 'Water Pump On', please move on to the next step.

#4 Measure the Output Voltage of the Pump Interface on the Y1 Circuit Board

Turn off the machine and refer to this video to remove it.
Unplug and replug the pump cable below and then restart the machine.
If the issue persists, start the machine and the pump plug should be connected to the Y1 circuit board.
Slightly peel off the pump wire insulating gel.
Make sure the multimeter pen touches the metal part of the wire
Check if there is voltage from the pump interface on the Y1 circuit board
  • If the voltage reading is 24V or around it, please replace the water pump.
  • If the reading is around 0V or way off 24V, please replace the Y1 circuit board.
