D1 and D1 Pro with all laser modules.
When you use the machine, you may see the laser module crashes into the frame during a framing or working process. Various factors may cause this issue such as the laser origin, design size, or position limit. Please follow the instructions below to troubleshoot.
#1 Check the Working Area
This is especially useful if you own a D1 machine. Since it doesn't have the position limit function, the machine can't tell where the laser module is. If the laser origin (the starting point of the processing) is not set properly, the design's area may come across the machine's working area, causing the laser module to crash into the frame.
To solve this, make sure both the width and height of the design are within the workable length on the X-axis and Y-axis directions. For example, if you want the starting point to be at the upper-left corner of the material, set the laser origin as instructed in the below pictures.
1. The purple area indicates the working area of the machine.
2. The blue area indicates a proper design area (within the purple area).
3. When the design's area is within the workable area, the laser module won't crash into the frame.
4. When the design's area comes across the workable area, the laser module crashes into the frame.
#2 Check the Position Limit Function
If this happens to a D1 Pro, it's usually related to the limit switch. Since the D1 Pro has the position limit function, it keeps the laser module in check during processing.
