This guide provides a comprehensive overview of M1 Ultra's processing modes, delineating their functionalities, specifications, and suitable applications. Each mode is tailored for specific types of work, whether you are engraving intricate designs on a flat surface, performing high-speed blade cuts, or creating detailed prints with inkjet technology.
An overview of each processing mode
# Lasering on flat surface
Processing area: 300 x 300 mm
Speed: 1 - 400 mm/s
File types: Vector, Bitmap
Power Range: 1 - 100%
Maximum height for auto-measure: 33 mm
Maximum material thickness:
Without Riser Base: 27 mm
With Riser Base: 125 mm
# Use rotary attachment
Processing area: 300 x 300 mm
Speed: 1 - 400 mm/s
File types: Vector, Bitmap
Power range: 1 - 100%
Maximum height for auto-measure: 33 mm
Maximum diameter (with Riser Base):
Roller: 99 mm
Chuck: 108 mm
# Blade cut
💡Kind reminder: The following blade types are available only after selecting the material to be processed in blade cut mode within xTool Creative Space (XCS).
- Cutting blade:
Processing area: 295 x 295 mm
Blade pressure: 45 - 500 g
Speed: 1 - 100 mm/s
File type: Vector
Maximum Processing Thickness: 2.5mm
- Rotary blade:
Processing area: 300 x 300 mm
Blade pressure: 45 - 2800 g
Speed: 1 - 100 mm/s
File type: Vector
Note: Due to the physical properties of the rotary blade, it is natural to encounter over-cutting.
Maximum Processing Thickness: 2.5mm
- Fine-point blade:
Processing area: 300 x 300 mm
Blade pressure: 35 - 600 g
Speed: 1 - 400 mm/s
File type: Vector
Maximum Cutting Thickness: 1.5mm
# Foil transfer tip
Processing area: 300 x 300 mm
Embossing pressure: 45 - 2800 g
Speed: 1 - 100 mm/s
File type: Vector
Tip types: Fine Tip, Medium Tip, Bold Tip
Maximum Processing Height: 3mm
# Pen drawing
Processing area: 300 x 300 mm
Pen pressure: 35 - 600 g (Recommended: 80 g for blue low-tack mat + A4 paper)
Speed: 1 - 400 mm/s
File type: Vector
Maximum Processing Height: 3mm
Pen color types: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Cyan, Blue, Purple, Black, or user-defined marker pens compatible with the pen holder on the basic carriage of M1 Ultra
Notes:
Excessive pen pressure may damage pen nibs. Hence, using recommended parameters is advisable. For more, visit xTool Material EasySet Library at https://mt.xtool.com/
Pens must be fitted into pen holders to secure them to the basic carriage.
After use, clean the pen nib and cap it to prevent clogging.
For laser processing, ensure the removal of the drawing pen to avoid damage from the high temperature or open flames as the resultant effect of lasering.
# Inkjet printing
Processing area: 296 x 286 mm (X-axis: 4 - 300 mm, Y-axis: 13 - 299 mm)
Ink concentration: 0 - 100%
File type: Bitmap
Notes:
Place the bottom cover of the ink cartridge container in the designated area before processing. The machine will automatically reattach it after processing, unless it is undergoing ink module calibration.
Ink cartridges are susceptible to clogging when exposed to air. To extend their lifespan, please consult the maintenance video tutorial below.
# Multi-module processing
Processing area: If inkjet printing is included, follow the inkjet printing processing area.
File types: Various combinations
Individual settings: Set parameters individually for each processing mode.
💡 Use tips: 1. When "Inkjet printing" mode is selected, do not place materials in the grey areas beyond the XCS canvas. 2. Different modes may require changing modules, such as switching from "Fine-point blade" to "Pen drawing" or from "Process on baseplate" to "Blade cut". You will receive software prompts for these adjustments.
# Screen preparation
Processing area: 255.8 x 209.6 mm (X-axis: 32~286.8mm, Y-axis: 41.4~250mm)
Processing types: Line Engraving, Fill Engraving
Power range: 1 - 100%
Speed: 1 - 300 mm/s
Notes:
M1 Ultra is only compatible with small-sized screens, specifically 9 inches x 12 inches (228.6mm*304.8mm).
Install the frame fixing piece on the right.
Mirror the screen printing patterns left to right before processing.
